It has been more than a hundred years since the great war between the humans and the bloodthirsty naësari started. Only a few humans are left that still fight against the naësari, those powerful and merciless creatures that attack in the cover of night to enslave or kill. Many have given in to their fate and try to make the most of what they still have under their rule. In the midst of all this, a young naësara named Laryana meets three humans in the woods, refugees that are trying to reach Nisirta, the last human city untouched by the enemy. But instead of fighting them, she offers her help. The unlikely group learns that they have a common goal: the end of the war and peace between the two peoples. But Laryana carries a dark secret. One that threatens not only her life, but also that of her newfound friends and the new hope of ending the brutal rule of the naësari once and for all.
