A young Black girl's journey in the 90's to early 2000's exploring the complexities of Black identity, childhood, spirituality and the ups and downs of love and romance using poetic prose. The book is broken into 3 abstract chapters; A journey which reflects on childhood, depression and joy, and self confidence and criticism, To identify are the love stories, the snapshots of encounters of best and worst emotions of the heart. The last chapter is The Thing which speaks to the socio-political structures of the Black female identity.
