Inward is a children's book. The time era is 1955. An age of innocence and a summer of two boys connecting their lives together. It started as simple as life could possibly happen. A six year old visiting a neighbor with his mother. A twelve year sitting and learning to tie knots from a Boy Scout Manuel. Asking questions. How to tie knots. Something strange and different happen. The twelve year old was blind. Together Burrell and Robert fate in one summer was sealed. Together in a small area of a mobile home park. Became trailblazers into the unknown world of being blind, sight, and sound. Gallant courage of six year old challenging a twelve year to learn about living life. Robert was blind. Burrell was a naïve. Life changing experiences held no boundaries in their daily activity . From climbing a tree and exploring the boundaries of being aware of the real world. Both boys created new challenges into learning and teaching each other. How to conquer a world without sight. In a quest of friendship. Just living in life together. Sharing a loyal friendship without boundaries. One learned about the vision of darkness. The other one learned to live life in a world built on sight and sound. Including being pranksters. Teaching each other to explore. Everything that life offered. The one most important thing was trusting each other. No matter. What an unknown adventure in life would teach them. Trust, honesty, compassion, laughter, love, teaching each other all the values of caring for each other. The compassion of life is the teaching giving and sharing the INWARD trust and loyalty with each other.
