With the help of data available on https: //en.wikipedia.org, http: //www.fightmatrix.com (they have excellently and objectively generated historical MMA rankings), and https: //www.sherdog.com (on Forums and the site in general), I have put together a list of top MMA Heavyweight and Openweight champions (a list of fighters who haven't enjoyed weight class protection and proved themselves against HWs). I objectively (to my best ability) sorted them according to their time as the nr. 1 fighter (the lineal nr. 1 position), wins over quality opponents, and MMA titles that they have won. The list will be changing according to changes in the achievements of active fighters (I intend to upgrade the book every year). It was really difficult to rank some of the fighters, so I understand that we all might rank them differently. The main thing that I wanted to do was to provide the readers with interesting and important data on these great champions, so that you can easier decide for yourselves.
