The Prosecutor and the Gem Stones John Cain
The Prosecutor and the Gem Stones
John Cain
When a tribal leader is found slow roasted on an open grill he is remembered publicly as a man who had secured the tribe's fishing rights and laid the foundation for the financial success of many. Privately he is remembered as a man who may have years ago roasted a Russian mafia rival in a manner similar to his death and most certainly did discipline a nephew by skinning a sleeve tattoo off his arm. The usual suspects all have alibis, but Detective Laconia Jones is convinced that at least one or all of them are lying. Even more troubling to him is that his partner, and prosecutor seem to want the case in a cold case file even before there is a autopsy. There are no perfect crimes, that we know of. Some are almost perfect and it a takes a crime or two to solve them. This is the sixth John Able mystery.
