This book is a story about a young man, Patrick, who, although had a challenging beginning; later became an exceptional leader mightily used of God in the body of Christ. The story begins at the early stage of Patrick's life. He is orphaned at the age of fifteen, his father having died when he was five, and his mother ten years later. He is adopted by his uncle, a bachelor. This uncle later gets married and life changes for young Patrick. He goes through untold hardship in the hands of his uncle's wife, Mrs. Bisi, who is a nominal Christian. Though she is a deaconess in her church, she is very hostile and wicked to the poor boy. This is prompted by jealousy, and the fact that Patrick will not succumb to her lust. This goes on till the Lord, Himself, apprehends Mrs. Bisi. The story does not end here.
