The stories of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table are widely known around the world, largely thanks to the works of 19th century English romantics and the work of Richard Wagner. Among Troyes's various works, the most famous is probably the unfinished Perceval, the Tale of the Grail. Troyes died in 1190. At the end of the same century, Robert de Boron wrote the trilogy Li livres dou Graal, where the adventures of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table reach a definitive configuration.
