Emotional Intelligence is the ability to express, understand, use and manage one's own emotions and those of others, achieving adaptation to the environment. Educational actions to enhance this intelligence take on a special relevance in boys and girls with Autism Spectrum Disorders, since communication and socialization are especially impaired. We designed an intervention proposal in the school environment aimed at developing the emotional education of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) aged between 5 and 6 years. To do this, we propose a set of interventions capable of developing the learning of emotions in children with ASD. These interventions are designed to identify, recognize, accept and express their own emotions and become aware that others also have and express emotions. In addition, it is hoped that they learn to transform negative emotions into positive ones, and to recognize their capacities and limitations. In this way, the development of skills that facilitate interpersonal relationships will be encouraged. The program consists of several phases and comprises a set of activities aimed at these stated objectives. The intervention proposal is considered very useful for the emotional education of preschool boys and girls with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
