This scissor skills book has 25 simple cut out pictures. These include garden animals (bee, tortoise, hedgehog), jungle animals (leopard, elephant, monkeys, toucan) and ocean creatures (octopus, mermaid). These all provide simple, starter pictures for practising scissor skills, as they have a dashed outline, showing where to cut with the scissors. This outline provides an easier shape for cutting, while still producing an interesting and recognisable picture of the item. At the back of the book are three scenes pages (garden, jungle and ocean) with instructions on the final page of this book for creating pop up scenes using the items already cutout. There are also some items that can be cut out and used to make the scenes pages more realistic (ball, kite, flower, starfish, tree) by sticking them on the scenes page. You can color in all the items you cut out and the scenes pages to make your own simple scenes for extra play and even story telling.
