Monograph by renowned architect Zenon Mazurkevich. Born in Ukraine, Zenon Mazurkevich graduated from the University of Toronto, and the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Fine Arts. He worked under Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and at the architectural firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. He opened his own architectural firm Zen Architects in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His commercial architectural projects included the John Hancock Center (875 North Michigan Avenue) in Chicago, the Spectrum sports arena in Philadelphia, the Connecticut Mutual Life Building (33 North Dearborn Street) in Chicago, the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dearborn, Michigan, and the BMW Building (555 West 57th Street) in New York City. Zenon Mazurkevich received wide acclaim for his church architecture, which included the ultra-modern St. Joseph the Betrothed Ukrainian Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois, and St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland.
