This checklist was developed as an aid for assessing a construction worksite's compliance with OSHA's 29 CFR, Part 1926, Safety and Health Regulations for Construction. This list is organized in groups of questions that follow the same nomenclature and order of the subparts of Part 1926. These questions are formulated in full sentences, closely mimicking the original text of the regulations, and each one includes its precise citation in the same regulations. This checklist touches on fundamental requirements and is not inclusive of all safety and health requirements for employers in the construction industry. However, in most situations it will not be necessary to use a safety inspection checklist as comprehensive as this one. This document is intended to be taken as a starting point to be tailored to fit the needs of specific inspections; more often by ignoring unnecessary subparts and questions.
