Rise of the Phoenix prisoner chronicles the journey of a miss guided young man from the streets of New York to the Maryland prison system. From there he would open up doors to the future by educating himself using the same tools that were ment to destroy him to educate himself and find his purpose; but first the Phoenix prisoner would have to fight his way past his gang affiliation and the many obstacles that young black men have to face in America. This is the story of my rise out of the shadows of American freedom.
