It has been a little over a year since Cole last ended her first journey in the life of a machine in Washington, D. C. Now, human, with a young baby in hand, she witnesses the brutal handling of a suspect by the police, which results in his death. The officer who caused the death soon becomes under investigation, both by Internal Affairs, and by Cole and her sleuthing team. In the end, justice has a funny way of resolving issues.
