Period covered in the play is from September 11- December 15, 2002 (about 3 months). Action takes place in and around a building apartment. The front flat is being used as a clinic and maternity home by DOCTOR, the owner of the building. The wife of the DOCTOR is the NURSE in the clinic. Inside of the flat housing the clinic, are 5 rooms and parlors accommodation. 3 are already rented out to tenants, there is a sign board "Room and Parlor to let" in front of the clinic and in front of Room 2. The landlord lives in Room 4 of the house. There is a refuse dump in front of the toilet area. Presently NURSE is cleaning the reception room.
