Taking a stand for your beliefs is a vital aspect of self-development and growth. As a Bosnian refugee and immigrant, I have always had the need to speak my truth. Stormy Waters is an anthology of poems and songs that chronicle the struggles to maintain courage in the midst of social oppression. Fear and loneliness are part of the path to authenticity. They show the dangers of becoming a prisoner to expectations placed upon you. I wrote this book to empower others to create their own standards so that their fight for justice can help truth to glow bright.
