The things I was forced to neglect
Were there
Safe and sound
Behind the closed door
I chose to ignore
I can see them
But dare I move through
I can feel the happiness inside
Calling out my name
But the road to the door
Is filled with thorns
Condescending glares
Penetrating my sight
Whenever I try to look for my door"
