This short story is about a boy and the match that follows him throughout his life. His parents hide the match away from him and over time, his curiosity overcomes him. Without knowing about the match's dangers, the match causes the boy many problems. In the end, the boy grows into a man and learns that talking about the dangers is better than hiding them away.
