This is the first collection of short stories by author Nguyen Thu Huong, pen name Autumn Rose. Each short story is a story about the status of Vietnamese women, the relationships between women in the family such as mother-in-law - daughter-in-law, wife - husband, stepmother - stepchild. As an agricultural country, the concept of male contempt for women is deeply rooted and subconscious for generations of Vietnamese people. Along with the change of society, the role and position of women also gradually change. Each woman also struggles for her freedom and equality with men in society and her own family. Vietnamese women today are no longer resigned to accepting an unhappy marriage but have been more active on the path to finding their true love. But throughout the works, the typical nature of Vietnamese women is still revealed, which is tolerance, forgiveness, kindness.
