The extreme pleasure of meeting Stoycho on the Ship Island ferry in Gulfport Mississippi where he works on the island. He told some of his stories of growing up in a communist country. His stories are so mesmerizing that you just want to listen for hours. The freedom that he now enjoys, we take for granted. He is truly an inspiring person. Having met this man in person, we have a new way of looking at our lives. Even though he is Bulgarian, his struggles bring to light comparisons to what is happening in Ukraine now.
