Ike Harper finds a mysterious and powerful black stone while working in his yard. The stone gives Ike multiple special abilities including time travel. He soon realizes that his grandson Louis traveled back from 2030 to place the stone in the garden so that he and Ike could try to defeat the plague of death haunting their family. Starting with the death of Tricia, Ike's only daughter and Louis' mother on October 31, 1990, someone close to Louis was killed every five years on his birthday and 2030 was his turn to die.
