When Holly lost her daughter-in-love she wanted to write a children's book for her granddaughter and oldest son. She noticed that many books were written about a mother and child's love. Feeling that something was missing for Everett, she set out to give her granddaughter something to relate to and learn from.

Holly is an award-winning author but her favorite title is Mimi to her three granddaughters and one on the way.
