The architecture of the 21st century has its roots at the turn of the 20th century, when almost everywhere in the Western world architects and artists of other disciplines turned against the traditional art of the Gründerzeit. Instead of constantly reviving the architecture of past eras, they wanted to create something new, something never seen before, with an expression that also corresponded to the (then) modern times. Art Nouveau or Jugendstil was born. Its centres in the German-speaking world were in Munich, Darmstadt and - especially, but not only in terms of architecture - in Vienna. Examples of an epoch of architectural awakening can be found in this calendar. This successful calendar was re-released this year with the same images and updated calendar.
