Douglas Sirk
Classic western in which the son of a tribal leader attempts to maintain the peace won by his father. Taza (Rock Hudson)'s father, Cochise (Jeff Chandler), agreed a peace deal with the colonists. After his death Taza becomes leader of the Apache tribe, but maintaining his father's legacy will be difficult.
As well as contending with his restless younger brother, Naiche (Rex Reason), who yearns for war, Taza must somehow reign in the loose canon Geronimo (Ian MacDonald) if he is to maintain diplomatic relations with the settlers.
