A new adaptation of the classic Stephen King thriller. Charlie (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), a young girl with pyrokinetic powers, fights to protect herself and her family from a sinister government agency that wants to capture and control her. Her father Andy (Zac Efron) taught her how to manage the fire, which is triggered by anger and pain, but when she turns eleven it becomes harder to control.

When the family's location is revealed, an operative is sent to hunt them down, but Charlie fights back.
