The program assesses the economic and cultural legacy of the world's seas, and pays homage to the attempts of many conservationists to save its precious resources. Co-directors Steve McNicholas and Luke Cresswell shot the footage off the coast of South Africa, lending it a not-so-subtle aura of exotic visual splendor.
