A variety of works leading deeper to the topic, the history and the myth of instruments by Antonio Stradivari. The CD features compositions by J. Brahms, J. Joachim & B. Marcello. In addition, the sonata by Shostakovich has been chosen, which features the unique beauty of sound, the richness of color and the radiance of this special instrument. This coupling is new to the Sony Classical catalogue.
