Stop Pretending (40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) The Pandoras RSD Black Friday 2026 Deluxe 40th Anniversary edition

Celebrate four decades of raw attitude, jangling guitars, and undeniable cool with the 40th Anniversary Edition of Stop Pretending by The Pandoras — a must-have centerpiece coming first to record stores for this year’s RSD Black Friday.

Released exclusively through Wicked Cool Records, this deluxe double vinyl set breathes new life into one of the defining albums of the ‘80s garage rock revival. Stop Pretending captures The Pandoras at their fiercest—fusing snarling punk energy with retro girl-group swagger—and this expanded edition finally gives fans the full picture. Notably, The Pandoras lineup featured future The Muffs members Kim Shattuck and Melanie Vammen, whose songwriting chemistry and unmistakable edge would later help define an entirely new era of alternative rock.

Pressed across two LPs, the collection features the original album newly remastered by original producer Bill Inglot, sourced from the best available recordings to deliver sharper punch and deeper grit than ever before. But the real treasure lies in the vault: a handpicked selection of previously unreleased bonus tracks, rare B-sides, and long-lost recordings—carefully curated from the archives by the band’s remaining members—showcasing their evolution and unfiltered studio energy. Housed in a beautifully designed gatefold sleeve, this anniversary edition includes rare archival photos, liner notes detailing the band’s legacy, and insights into the making of the record during a pivotal moment in underground rock history.
