'The Necromanteion' is the temple of necromancy. The door to Hades; the realm of the dead. This track shimmers with the dust of caverns far beyond the temporal light afforded to men. The lingering shadows of souls long lost to the ultimate dissolution of body and spirit wander here. Once again, the power of unholy melody is utilized to create an atmosphere most malevolent. Dual guitars, locked in a death-grip, portend a torrent of petrifying, yet alluringly welcome annihilation. This composition has long been in our live arsenal and now it is ready to be truly unfettered upon the unsuspecting ears of man. The Lord of Death and Midnight' contains lyrics composed during a weeklong sojourn through the glorious land of old & (un)hallowed Transylvania. Ancient, forgotten graves and tombs were long pondered upon while the hazy silhouette of the ever darkening Carpathian Mountains were slowly enveloped by a wood-smoke filled twilight. The spirit of old war and half-forgotten legends can still be felt here. The dead keep their secrets, try as we may to peer beyond their veil.
