On the A side, the Real Thing is a funk-flavored masterpiece, starting with gorgeous deep chords and evolving into a funky and sexy house track, while Midnight Marauders is a straight p-funk smasher, with big clap, funky bassline and wild vocals. The B side features the Real Thing remixed by Swiss producer Agnès, who gives to the original track his usual magic touch with a building house rework.
