And so we find Klaxons in 2010: revitalised, reinvented, and bearing the ‘difficult’ second album to beat them all. That they’ve emerged from the last frazzled three years with such an imaginative, colourful and brilliant record – an album stuffed full of visions of UFO invasions, climate change disasters, alien worlds and parhelions – is testament to their standing as one of the truly forward-thinking and boundary-crushing acts of our times.
