It's almost 4 years ago since the last VOIGT & VOIGT 12" was released on Speicher, which gives reason to be curious about the current collaboration of the VOIGT brothers. Both sides of their new Maxi will surprise its listeners with special and unorthodox arrangements. "SYNTHESIZE" hypnotizes with a persistent eighties vocal loop, that moves at the peak of its tolerability over some kind ofÊindustrial-bridge into a "wall of sound", and then sways on a Disco House loop into Nirvana. IDOLIZE, whichÊ sounds more like " noble-trance", stands in the best tradition of the earlier Voigt & Voigt b-sides. It starts with a dark-chord bass / piano riffÊ and then climbs over aÊ " Klaus-Schulze-like" sequencing ladder into the heaven of rave-bliss .
