Bathsheba's Boy Katherine Duke

Bathsheba is listed in the lineage of Jesus in Matthew;s gospel. Bathsheba prayed for a child and the Lord gave her five sons. Her first son died because of the sins of David, his father. Her second son, Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived. David promised Bathsheba that Solomon would be the next king of Israel and Nathan the prophet helped Bathsheba claim this promise. Tradition says Bathsheba studied with her grandfather and became a teacher of Solomon and his three brothers. Bathsheba was David's last wife and the greatest Queen of Israel.
