Short sories exploring life, love, and death through different channels -- prairie life, a poor Mexican village, a coming of awareness, the hunger of lonely gold-rush miners, inside the contorted mind of a rapist, and more, each unfolding in different times and geographies, each clothed within the minds of its protagonists. Some unfold within strict prose boundaries, others in a free form akin to non-rhyming poetry. Some stories are but a few pages in length, others small novellas. All pivot around love in its many and varied forms.
