Love Between Fools Theom
Love Between Fools
Theom
This is the land and a time where horses pull the farmer's plow, Goddess rules the heavens, and sexual union is both taught and observed as expressions of man's love for Goddess and Her returning love for him. Born into this land a male child, Mikeral, whose love of the stories of Goddess knows no bounds, rebels, refusing to be satisfied with loving earthly women no matter how beautiful and willing these mortal effigies are, insisting that he will love only the incarnate Goddess Herself. When this is summarily denied as being impossible, in despair and self-pity he begins a journey from everything he knows, crossing the vast unexplored land to the west eating only what the land provides, roots and berries. In this journey he will reach a great ocean, experience both great joy and greater disappointment, and enter the forbidden land to the north, returning in the company of an aged monk. Yet nothing he learns of the rituals of his own land or the land to the north brings him what he most yearns for: the way to the heart of Goddess. Ultimately he must answer the question: must one die in order to find Her?
