Princess Neva is beautiful but it is her lovely voice that has caused her people to name her after the rare lark called a snow singer, and her warm and loving heart that has made her dear to all. But when her father falls under the spell of the vain and lovely witch princess Melyni, danger threatens Neva, causing her to flee for her life to the wild mountains. Here she finds refuge with the dwarf Redstol and his six sons.
