Once again, something evil is shadowing the Perilous Wood. It appears as a sparkling purple mist but it's beauty cloaks a thing of darkness, out to get revenge on Prince Larkin of the Fae. But Larkin has other things on his mind than fighting evil just now. He is desperately in love with Sherisa of Minslee Village, and the old struggle between his Fae nature and his human nature is tormenting him. But when the amethyst veil abducts Sherisa in an attempt to lure him, both sides of his nature are in agreement. He must rescue her and win her. Little does he know that a struggle against a purple water witch will be the least of his struggles to win his heart's desire.
