A drunken driver races down a country road, weaving and running a red light as a boy watches his father's car enter the intersection. In a few terrifying seconds, the life of a young boy is shattered. Too young to understand death, his superstitious mother strangely fearing him, he finds himself on a strange journey with death always close by, unaware of those manipulating his journey. In a strange twist of fate, a young woman, growing up poor and intent on finding a rich husband, latches onto him thinking he is rich, never knowing how he really makes his money. Suddenly thrown into turmoil as she falls in love with another, oblivious that he is searching for a killer, a killer that may be her husband.
