The past two years have been surprisingly calm for the family, and Zo and Zoran have been able to get creative with their seemingly limitless magic. But, all that's about to change. It begins with Dorian's return from the Watcher Realm, a revelation of a long-held secret, and a cryptic message from Seshat. It seems the demons aren't all they have to worry about as The Powers have called their elite fighting force, the Drayden, to put them to the ultimate test. As the subsequent battles ensue, they discover that the 'Z's' aren't the only ones the Drayden are after. One, in particular, has been sent for Jaxa, with express orders from a certain Power to insure she doesn't survive. When she begins to succumb to the mental attacks, a perfect storm of epic proportions is unleashed in the Human Realm. As lick would have it, Zo and D refuse to let her drown in her own Water, and come up with a plan to bring her back. There's only one problem. Dorian. As the always present tension between Dorian and Zo grows, more secrets are revealed, and held. But, it's the secret Dorian holds that poses the biggest danger, threatening to not only destroy the family, but, birth a new Krag. When the dust settles, a vital piece of the family is missing, and no one, not even Seshat, knows how long they'll have to do without. In this time of uncertainty, trust is key. But, how can you trust those who keep secrets, those who are engaged in deeds done in the dark. With the proverbial 'Green Light' in effect, they can't afford fall apart.
