Dave and Megan travel via train from Celery City, Michigan to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They encounter thieves, warring Indians, and other travel inconveniences of the times. Lucy spreads her wings and moves to Lansing to work in the automobile manufacturing business. She meets Daniel and they marry. Eventually they move out to Wyoming to settle near Dave and Megan. Neighbors help build cabins. Dr. Willy comes out to Wyoming to visit and help his sister.
