Ernest Hensley grew up in the mountains of Southeastern Kentucky as one of fourteen children. The hope of a better job lured him beyond his beloved mountains. Life took him and his family on an unexpected journey and life in Chicago suburbs. After retirement, Ernest returned with his wife to their childhood community where they still pastor a church. The lessons he learned in his youth have sustained him through his adult life and the values that were most dear still remain in faith, family, and friends. In this book, Ernest recounts adventures of his childhood in Harlan County, Kentucky. Included are stories about his brothers and sisters and a photographic collection of family members.
