This book includes biochemical and immunological properties of carcinoembryonic antigen and their receptors in mammary adenocarcinoma and benign tissues . Also this book is mainly designed to study the following .(1) Evaluation of the clinical value of preoperative serum tumor markers such as CA15-3 and CEA in the diagnosis of breast cancer were carried out . These tumor markers were measured preoperatively in patients . The CEA was measured and found out to be elevated in 44% of patients with patients of of breast cancer . CEA showed equal specificity and lower sensitivity compared with CA15-3 (2) A method of IRMA for cytosolic CEA was developed and found to be suitable assesment in mammary tumors .(3) A method was developed for purification and identification of human CEA from metastatic tumor (4) A new method of solid phase radioimmuno assay was established to measure CEA in sera
