The Morning Roars Slowly is a new compilation of poems from the author Robert Benefiel. The work in this book is derived from 4 months of writing in early 2017 and is a slight departure from the authors typical narrative style to more of an impressionistic one. Many of the works reflect on the idea of the time before, during, and after a new dawn has come. Whether the piece is about redefining what a hero is in a piece like American Heroes, exploring the infinity of something between 0 and 1 in the poem Zero One Infinity Rule, or recognizing the sum of what one may want out of life in a piece like Dear Forces Against My Senses, the author recognizes the sun does not only set on us all, but it may well leave us in the dark to think about who we are and what we have done.
