Give The Word is a new book of poetry by the author Robert Benefiel. Created during a recent prolific period of writing in the author's life, the poems in this edition take on a more experimental approach to poetry, giving the author the ability to try and express new ideas within old subjects. In most cases the work presented here is a departure from presenting the author's own life as material, and driven towards using other points of views and characters to discover new meaning. Whether it's a short poem about a room watching a woman from Mexico cry because she feels out of place in the United States, or a 15 page sprawling poem about the early days of the outcastes of society creating places to discuss their ideas and be who they were without persecution, each idea is presented with its own voice to try and give its own unique message.
