Then a gang element begins to haunt the trails of the park and forest. The state brings in an undercover DEA agent, Bradley Russell, to keep tabs on the gang activity. Although he catches a glimpse of Dee now and again, no one will admit to knowing who she is, until she seeks him out when Chip is hurt. As he gets to know her and her situation, it becomes apparent the men they thought were gang members are not looking for an avenue to move drugs, rather they are looking for someone. The men's efforts are centered on Dee and her best friend, Dr. Linda Terrell, even as they deny any reason for the men to be looking at them. A couple of near misses, a break-in at Linda's Clinic and it becomes apparent the ladies are in danger. Keeping them protected as they continue to stick to their normal routine proves to be challenging. A Southern Railway Series is a clean reading series I felt comfortable writing for my mother to read, as well as my 20 something granddaughters.
