Jaxson Carter was Grambling State University's MVP and every woman on campus wanted him, but he was cut from a different cloth. Jaxson did not want a woman that would throw herself at him, he desired a lady. Brenda was a 4.0 graduating Senior that barely had time to hang out or party with her girls. Allowing her two friends to talk her into going to a back to school party, she went not knowing she had caught and captured Jaxson Carter's attention. She carried herself with respect and with those characteristics being hard to find, Jaxson spotted them in her while he watched her at the party. When Brenda had a disastrous first day of class, Jaxson decided to come to her rescue and show her that he was a true gentleman that would protect her feelings and her heart. After spending time together, the two become close and inseparable, but their relationship is tried by Brenda's psychotic roommate that suddenly takes an interest in Jaxson. Close to graduating, the two attend a job fair that secures them a good starting position within a company. Jaxson and Brenda cannot believe how blessed they are, but the question is, was it really a blessing from God or a setup from a bitter ex?
