This rhyming story is also a workbook that gives kids the chance to review the alphabet and practice printing their letters. As each letter is "stolen", it is replaced with an outline of the letter that children can fill in with a marker, crayon or pencil. I used as many words as possible from Grade 2 word lists. The nonsense names of the "planets" are to help children practice their phonics. I hope kids can sound out the names. I have taught phonics for more than 30 years.
