As a faithful follower of Christ and a man who wants everyone everywhere to know the glory of God and be saved - I want you to shine. I want you to shine brighter with the good news of Jesus Christ and how He's changed you. I want you to shine more brightly than you have every shone in your life. And I'm going to use a post-resurrection experience to accomplish this task. I want to do this in order to lead you on a path to spiritual renewal in your life. Throughout this book, I am chiefly going to use the post-resurrection experiences of one disciple. His name is Simon Peter. The reason I am going to use Simon Peter, later referred to as Peter, is because fifty days after Jesus rose from the dead, this man stood in Jerusalem and preached the most powerful message he had ever preached in his life and 3,000 people got saved. The Bible says that the power is in the gospel, and when someone speaks its truth, there is power that is coming from that person's voice. Just remember, the Holy Spirit is the one who regenerates people. He was at work in all those who heard the gospel that day. I know exactly what this is like, because I too have had the privilege of displaying His power, have you? It was the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit that captivated and convicted the hearts and minds of those people in Jerusalem that day. So much so that they knew they needed to do something different - they needed to change.
