Polly Giller is out and about early on a Saturday morning, driving through Bellingwood with Noah and Elijah, after picking them up from an overnight church function. When she comments on seeing Ralph Bedford's orange pickup truck in a strange driveway with the driver's door open, Noah tells her the truck hasn't moved since last night. Even the boys know what Polly might find when she heads for the front door of the house. It's spring break in Bellingwood and this event is only the beginning. Engagement photoshoots bring friends into town, a new baby unravels poor Cat, a new dog in the house adds fresh excitement, and a rushed trip to the ER with Jason introduces a friend we'll get to know better down the road. Add to that, renovation in the auditorium at Sycamore House, a funeral (who puts the fun in funeral? Bellingwood does), and a curious mystery to solve and you know that Polly is holding on with all she has.
