With Faloix on the brink of failing and Llyrhoe not far behind it seems that nothing and no one is strong enough to stop Vros in their conquest of controlling everything south of the Gates of Geissen. The Skolraigh, dark followers of Ulrok, have returned with resurgent force. Loyalties are being unnecessarily questioned in favor of mind-bending paranoia. Time is slipping away as the once promising hopes for the future seem to be falling more in line with the tragic mistakes of the past. Due to the pull the Emerald has taken on the Avondets, only a handful of brave people remain standing by their side to ensure they complete the most challenging task of their family's history.
