Eastern Europe has seen a revolution of epic proportions. In Russia, a new Soviet government run by the Bolsheviks has replaced the imperial kingdom of the Romanovs. This has not been a smooth transition. All over the east, countries are staking their own independence from a radical, new political system. Religious persecution has become rampant, leaving unsettled citizens in its wake. Perhaps the change they were crying for, was not the change they received. Moscow has become the face of the new government, after moving south from Petrograd because of the numerous threats from their German rivals. A Red Terror has befallen the east as well, dividing the massive country in two by way of a civil war. Gypsies have not fared well on the front lines. It seems their insignificantly short days in the sun were over before they started. Aanya is struggling to cope with this new reality and trying to desperately find her place amongst the White Resistance, but even they are not so kind to the gypsy plight. The aristocrats too are in an urgently frantic state of affairs. Unable to maintain superiority, they are willing to stoop to new lows. By 1918, it's become clear to the Count that he wants no part in that life. But will his new pursuits welcome him back home?
